Moral Values: Importance of Moral Values in Student Life

Moral Values are the worthy ideals or principles that one follows to distinguish the right from the wrong. These ideals or virtues are considered worthy in building up the character of an individual. Moral Value refers to the good virtues such as honesty, integrity, truthfulness, compassion, helpfulness, love, respectfulness, hard-work, etc. Students are the future of India. The future of our country depends upon the moral values imparted to them during their student life. Moral lessons should be properly implemented among students in school and colleges. Children have an immense power of observation and their feelings are deep-rooted. They always observe their parents at home and their teachers in school. So we need to educate students at their grass root level so that they do not disrespect any one weather he/she is elder or younger then him/her.

Moral education means an ethical education to follow the good and right principles of life. It consists of some basic principles, like truthfulness, honesty, charity, hospitality, tolerance, love, kindness and sympathy. Moral education makes one perfect. Education is not aimed at obtaining only a degree.
Moral values or education as we can call them are acquired from home, school and college. Since family is the first school and thus it has greater impact on young and impressionable.

In democracies, through education, children and adults are supposed to learn how to be active and effective citizens. education is divided into three categories first is formal education it is usually in schools, where a person may learn basic, academic, or trade skills. The other is informal education which is given by the guardian and it is called moral education.
