Integrity as "the quality or state of being of sound moral principle, uprightness, honesty and sincerity." Its synonym is honesty. Integrity is a "firm adherence to a code of especially moral or altruistic values." Integrity is an uncompromising adherence to a code of moral, artistic or other values, utter sincerity, honesty and candor, avoidance of deception, expediency, artificiality or shallowness of any kind. However, along with the subject of truth, there are also issues of honesty, integrity and character – all of which we need in our political and religious leaders, teachers and parents. I believe that an honest man will refuse to lie, steal or deceive in any way. To be honest is to have an upright character – this is something that is extremely lacking in our society today. A man with integrity is someone who has sound convictions and moral values. Last, I look at character Merriam-Webster's dictionary says, "A man with character is someone with moral excellence and firmness.

Moral Value & Courage
Courage is a highly admired virtue. Most often we associate the word with physical prowess or bravery. But there's another form of velour that's much more important because it comes up more often. It's called moral courage - the willingness to face not physical danger but emotional pain, disapproval, financial insecurity, or uncertainty rather than compromise an ethical principle. Moral courage is essential not only for a virtuous life, but a happy one. Without courage, we have no control over our lives. Our fears corrode our spirit and confine us like a barbed wire fence. That's why they say a coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man but one.
Mark Twain said, 'Courage is not the absence of fear but the resistance of fear, the mastery of fear.' To paraphrase President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the enemy is not what we fear; it is fear itself. If our insecurities and anxieties cause us to lose confidence in the power of virtue, we will lose something very precious. People with moral courage rarely get medals, but it is the best marker of true character and a virtue others can be proud of.
Moral Value & Self Discipline
Self-discipline is most important to achieve complete Discipline in life. And it also helps to develop better character of the person concerned. It is rightly said” He that cannot obey, cannot command". Nation cannot progress without the law abiding disciplined citizens. This helps to build up the nation with the proper co-operations and unity. In these case nation can be saved from neighbor's opportunistic attitudes. Strength of a nation lies in discipline. Self-discipline is to motivate self in spite of a negative emotional state of mind. For self-discipline individual should have strong will power to control the mind. Self-discipline works automatically and leads to the success. His Holiness the Dalai Lama, writes, “Self-discipline, although difficult, while combating negative emotions, should be a defensive measure. At least we will be able to prevent the advent of negative conduct dominated by negative emotion. Once we develop this, by familiarizing ourselves with it, along with mindfulness and conscientiousness, eventually that pattern and way of life, will become a part of our own life.” Our safe survivals depend on nature. Nature strictly follows the law of nature. Nature is very systematic with its law. The day starts with sunrise and sets accordingly to invite night with moon and stars above the sky. Nature is the best example of true discipline to all of us.

Moral value & Discipline
Discipline is an
essential part of our life. In fact without discipline life we cannot work
smoothly. Parents, elders of the family and the teachers are the first persons
to introduce the sense of discipline to the children. Discipline must be learning
it from the early stages of life.
Discipline ensures the smooth flow of life without putting hindrance to
the individual's liberty. Discipline teaches us to be systematic towards
achieving our goal of life. It helps us to achieve our ambitions. Our social
structure will fall apart without the discipline in social life. A society without
the proper discipline encourages the unsocial activities such as violence and
bad behavior.

Moral Value & Youth
Youths are major determinants of the level of development in any society. Without youths, there can be no sustenance of society as no society can be self-sustaining without its human components of which the major workforce is the youths. Realizing this, young people ought to know their importance and worth in society and begin to value themselves as purveyors of the fortune and progress of any society. Youths must be committed to imbibing moral values and upholding them through life as these values will shape the ways they think, speak and even act. Moral standards can rise in contemporary societies if the zeal of youths brings about the restoration of moral values. To uphold moral values, youths must be disciplined and resist immoral behavior that will eventually culminate in loss of moral compass. Youths can be the agents of change in their societies by accepting to live by moral codes and become “lights in perceived darkness” to show the way forward for nations to become truly prosperous, developed and functional.
Tolerance and Cooperation
In bible there is a question, Can two people work together if they do not agree? The most logical
answer is No. This is because one person will always drawback the other. For persons to work
together to accomplish set objectives, they must learn to appreciate their differences,
accommodate their weaknesses and pull together their strengths. Tolerance means being
receptive to the beauty of differences while cooperation is simply identified as team work.
Tolerance involves mutual understanding resulting from mutual respect while cooperation
involves mutually beneficial relations. Traditional societies were tolerant and extremely
cooperative, they appreciated diversity in nature and realized that though they were different,
they had to work together to promote human life and existence.

Moral Value & Respect
Respect is an acknowledgement of the inherent worth and innate rights of the individual and collectivity. The value of respect was cherished in the past, especially respect for elders. This is because it was assumed that elders were more knowledgeable and wiser than young persons. Respect was also given to elders as they comported themselves in manners worthy of emulation. Respect comes with honor and dignity as the individual or group of individuals are regarded as important personalities in their own rights.
Moral Value & Truthfulness
This quality can be defined as being honest. Honesty implies being frank, direct, open or even straight. It entails standing up for what you believe in no matter whose pride gets in the way. It means not contradicting oneself in thoughts, words and actions. Isichei and Bolaji (2010) define honesty as “the awareness of what is right and appropriate in one‟s role, one‟s behavior and one‟s relationship”. Honesty is the foundation of integrity; having moral standards. Traditional societies were founded on this value and truthfulness was a quality pursued by all especially by leaders who were looked up to for direction by followers. Leaders valued truthfulness because they believed in protecting their names and reputation “a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches and loving favor rather than silver or gold”

The Role of Religious Institutions in the Moral Development of The Child
Religion
is a major force in the lives of most Americans. In deeded, international
studies continually report a comparatively high level of religious practice
among Americans. Because religion is above all, a meaning system, it naturally
speaks to its adherents about right and wrong, good and bad. For many
Americans, the first and foremost moral guide is their own religion. While the
theological doctrines of religions differ substantially, there is a great deal
of overlap in moral theologies, particularly in their everyday applications.
Historically, moral teachings have been central to all religions. For instance,
historically speaking, since the time of the Bible, moral teachings have been
central to Judaism. The Bible is, at its core, a book of ethical teachings.
Talmudic sages are seen as moral exemplars, and medieval writers such as Bahya
ibn Pakudah and Maimonides, Moses Haylm Luzzatto in the 18th century and the
Musar Movement of the 19th century developed a systematic approach to the
ethical teachings of the Bible and Talmud in order to teach morals.
